Hand Cleaning of Fleece - Pre Card

$24.00 per kilo for vegetation removal under 1% - Inwards goods weight.

OR

$40.00 per kilo for vegetation removal over 1% - Inwards goods weight.

To remove vegetation, second cuts & coarse hairs. 

This also includes quality separation into 1^st & 2^nd qualities, if applicable.
 

Washing, Conditioning & Drying - Alpaca, Suri & Mohair

$10.00 per kilo - Inwards goods weight.

Sheep’s Wool is not longer able to be washed by us

Picking – Pre Card

$11.00 per Kilo – Inwards goods weight.


Blending – Different Coloured or Mixed Fibres

$12.00 per kilo – Inwards goods weight.

“As is” blending is not charged as time is not spent blending received fibres 


Carding – White, Coloured or Dyed Fleeces

$26.00 per kilo – Despatch weight

Sheep’s wool can still be carded but must be received by us scoured of all lanoline and free of vegetation (or cleaning fee applies).

**All received fibre is now required to be “picked” prior to carding.**

 
Loyalty Discount of 10% will apply –

To finished carded fleece amounts received at one time when

1             1^st batch of finished carded fibre weighs 2 kilos or more 

OR

2              On second or any other use of our service (no minimum weight)

To qualify for #1 – the fibre can belong to a number of owners as long as it is delivered at the same time, this assists us with planning our colour runs on the carding machine.


Hand spinning

$150.00 per kilo for medium yarn.

$170.00 per kilo for fine yarn.

All yarns are washed and balled up ready to use. Weight of each ball is marked on label.


Payment Terms

We accept Cash, Bank or Personal Cheques.

OR

Direct debit – banking details are noted on Tax Invoice.

Prices quoted do not include GST.  GST will be added to Tax Invoice.

Payment in full is required upon presentation of tax invoice.

Registered Postage added to Tax Invoice where applicable.


Carding of Longer Length Fleeces – Over 13 inches 

Due to the increase in time required to process these longer lengths of fleece, the input rate to the carder has to be slowed down to prevent the rollers from becoming jammed.

In the event of any rollers jamming, they have to be manually cleared out before work can recommence thus increasing the time taken to process these longer length fleeces.

A surcharge of $30.00 per kilogram on finished weight will be applied to these long fleeces.

In the event that the fleece staple lengths are too long to run through the carder our only other option available would be to put them through our “Picker”.
